Ground staff are essential to any airport or air carrier. It is impossible to function without them.   5. Crew Schedule Coordinator: They are responsible for scheduling flight crews for commercial airlines. They also find substitute crew when required.

  6. Sales Representative: They promote and create business for the airline.

  7. Reservation Sales Agent: They telephonically help passengers plan their trips. They provide information about tours, meals, taxi fares, rentals, etc.

  8. Ramp Planner: They are responsible for knowing the arrival and departure times for all aircraft at that airport. They coordinate with other departments to perform various tasks on the plane before it can depart for the next flight.

  9. Passenger Service: They take care of the transportation of passengers and their luggage.

  10. Agent Flight Dispatcher : They oversee the arrival and departure process to ensure a safe working environment and help the plane depart on time.

    In India, the average ground staff salary is ₹ 240,000 per year. Entry-level positions start at ₹216,000 per year, while most experienced workers make up to ₹ 318,000 per year.

    There are three levels in the CS programme. Candidates are issued CS certificates and allowed to practice only after passing all of them. Overall, these courses cost between ₹1 Lakhs to ₹4 Lakhs. The fees paid cover classroom training and cost to ICSI.
