Anamika Pandey, Founder of Naario, India’s First Women-led and Run Food Brand

According to founder and CEO Anamika Pandey , the goal of India's first women-led food startup is to assist millions of stay-at-home mothers who have the ability but lack the means to realise their dreams.

Naario is an original organic food company in every way. There are many examples of successful businesswomen and business owners, but Naario stands out as the nation's first entirely female-owned and female-led food startup.

Naario sells organic cereals, condiments, and beverages. It was founded in 2021 by Anamika Pandey, who had previously held a senior position at BigBasket. Within six months, more than 70 female partners signed up. Naario aims to build a groundbreaking company run and led by women. Any woman who has interacted with Naario is welcome to become an active member of our supportive community and a consumer, partner, and pioneer.

Naario products include products that build immunity and muesli, filter coffee, a 9-in-1 flour mix, garam masala, and sugar powder with tea masala.

Naario is expanding at a rate of 40% month over month, and due to its success, the startup has been able to secure pre-seed funding from a group of angel investors.

While speaking with her mother, Anamika was inspired to launch a startup selling home spices and other goods. Her mother was a talented cook and a housewife too. She was scared to start working because of the criticism she would face from society. That's when she realised that many homemakers, like her mother, possess talent but need more resources to make it worthwhile. Hence Naario is a company run and owned by women.

Anamika has a strong belief in the strength of people, especially women. "If you give people the resources and freedom, they'll come up with something worthwhile. It has been extremely fulfilling to see that conviction come true." Seeing how many women use Naario to create their identities gives her great satisfaction. Purchasing their first plane tickets to try new foods gives her great joy.

The young entrepreneur thinks India's homemaker economy is flourishing and set for further expansion. She adds that Naario, which emerged during the Covid-19 pandemic, is more concerned with collaboration than competing against other brands.

"We cannot outperform rivals who have been in the industry for so long. We are committed to hiring more motivated women and making distinctive offerings to draw clients independently." She believes that there is plenty of customers if you concentrate on your offerings and fulfil your commitments, she asserts with assurance.

Anamika advises female entrepreneurs to start businesses to realise their dreams of a bigger and better future.

They should put their dreams first rather than worrying about people's thoughts. They may feel that society is rejecting them, but once they succeed, I can assure them that the same society will embrace them with open arms," believes Anamika.

Successful women like Anamika inspire and motivate others to enter the world and realise their dreams. The future is bright for women who wish to make it big.
